There's no real good choices, but I subscribe to Custom Classic Trucks and Classic Trucks, and of course, here. This place has tons of good trucks, built mostly by the owners, and there's some really cool stuff going on around here.

Re: whats a good magazine to subscribe to.....

I subscribe to 4Wheeler, Hot Rod and Car Craft. Granted, the last two aren't "truck" magazines, but I do learn a lot about restoring, rodding, engines, suspension, etc., from all three.

Shop around, sometimes you can find good deals on magazines...like 1/2 off subscription rates, or free for a year(?!!), stuff like that.

And keep with this board. I've learned tons from hanging around the great people on this forum!

Re: whats a good magazine to subscribe to.....

I agree with the ones listed.Find some buddies and get a sub and give one.Lots of the mags run the specials like that for X-mas so you and a friend could have 2fer1.I sub to about 5-6 mags and find a lot of info in most of them. There is a lot of ads and many of the major ones are Primedia publications who tend to run a story in one then a couple months later they rewrite it and un it in another title.

I agree with Krue, this site is your best spot to get ideas and help cause whatever you want to do to or with your truck, at least 3 people have done it before and are more than willing to share their knowledge and experiences. As far as magazines go, Classic Trucks and Custom Classic Trucks are the two best mags with articles on our trucks.

Re: whats a good magazine to subscribe to.....

I personally like Classic Trucks and Super Chevy. Both of these magazines help me out once in a while, but as others had stated on this thread, this site is THEEEEEE #1 source for all of your information. PLUS!!! you have the added bonus of having instant access here for pictures and information, as to a magazine, you have to wait a month, or go through piles of older rags. (if you can even remember which issue it was in)
Just my $.02 worth.

Re: whats a good magazine to subscribe to.....

I get "Classic Trucks" & I will renew it again because I know the editor from a bike board & like his style. I like how they are leaning more towards the old ratty hot rod stuff lately too. But, this is still the BEST place to get info on 67-72 stuff, period...corn

Thats what I do as well, Custom Classic Trucks and Classic Trucks have more pics and info on our year trucks than any others that I have seen.

Re: whats a good magazine to subscribe to.....

Too many ads. in the slick mags. I just come here to get all the opinions and facts from guys who really know these trucks and have forgotten more than the mag. writers ever knew. No need to sift through all the B.S. from guys who really think they know what the hell they're talking about, but would rather feed you a line of crap.
