Quick question - small starter wires gauge sizes ?

I need to repair the small wires by the starter, does anyone know what gauge the purple and yellow wires are ? Thanks

Purple is 12 and the yellow is 20

Wow - that was quick, thanks guys, I thought the purple looked like 12, the yellow is a skinny sucker hmm. I am delegating this task to my sons so when they go to get some wire and ends we get the right thing the first time. I didn't have time to figure it out tonight. Thanks.

Tom if that wire is for your 305 engine going into the 70 I would assume you already have HEI for that and then you don't need the yellow wire.

Shannon - nope - this for another truck I just bought - , yep you are right, I do have an HEI for the 70, I will modify the harness to eliminate the yellow wire and replace the resistor with a 12 ga copper. wire . Still running points on the new truck for right now, it had an exhaust leak that fried the ends of he wires - more details to come ........

Ok - One owner 1971 C20 (almost rust free cab). I'll post some pics after we get it cleaned up and running.
