The one that I saw, I was not to impressed with the chrome was not that good. I am planning on chroming my stock 72 grill and putting a billet insert in.

I think they offer the one from Key parts. If so, it is the same one that I got from Wes at Classic Heartbeat. I like it because you do not have to worry about fine scratches like with the aluminum one. This I like!!

i heard they fit terrible and you have to tweak it to get it right. or return it for a regular grill

The chromed steel grills have quality issue's with them, We discontintued carrying them due to the fact it took 10 grills to find one or two good ones. Between bad chrome, rust, and dents its next to impossible to find a good one and everyone that did get one that appeared good in appearance said that fit on right side was extremely poor.

I must have been really luck then! Mine fit beautifully, no rust, chrome was in excellent condition... It was even coated with a protective oil/residue then wrapped with foam tissue then placed in a plastic sleeve and protective foam pieces (bracing) was added inside the cardboard shipping carton. Wes had mine drop shipped directly from Key parts. Like I said, I must have been lucky by reading what you guys have posted.

I sell several of these a year and have not had the first complaint. We actually installed one in a truck the other day the fit was perfect. But if you look close it is not show chrome and can find little flaws but I can nit pick a $50K truck also!

Like Tim, we sell many of these a year and even have one installed on our Garden Truck also. It now has been on it for over a year and hasn't rusted, peeled nor had any other problems. They are installed on several local trucks around here and only a couple have told me that they were a bit of a bear to install, but worth it for the end result that they give. There was one shipment of them that came in that had peeling chrome and you could see that as soon as the box was opened, but key parts issued a call tag on them and sent out good ones to replace them. So.... maybe I was fortunate enough to get one from the "normal" batch and the guys that commented above were less fortunate. Glad to hear there are others that did not have problems!
