battery location (stepside)
im wanting to put my battery on the frame rail, but i did some measureing and just behind the cab (where i wanted it) there isnt enogh room for it (would hit the step) so where else would be good? is there enough room behind the seat?

I would suggest somewhere besides behind the seat because of fumes.If you do go behind the seat make sure you use a battery box that has provisions for venting.Maybe a better solution would be a battery box with cover built into the bed floor.

if you mopunt it in the cab you'll want a gell battery that is compeletey sealed

Hey, I bought a frame mount kit from cpp to hold an optima battery and mounted it to the frame under the bed in front of the passenger side rear wheel. I actually got 2 to help support the stereo.
