Is this supposed to get stuck in there?
I ordered a set of Control Arm bushings AND a set for the tracking bar....
I get them today (two boxes of the same thing) and sure enough the tracking arm stuff is fine. In the picture, you can see the sleeve I took out of the control arm and the new one.... am I mistaken or did someone shaft me again? I figured the company that made them would do a diagram in the box - they did.... and it doesn't match anything... Any guidance is MUCH appreciated.

Re: Is this supposed to get stuck in there?
Bushing on left of picture is out of your trailing arms and bushing on right is for rear stabilizer bar (tracking arm) they sent you 2 sets of tracking arm bushings.
Trailing arm bushings are about same only much larger Have included pic below of Left- trailing arm bushing set polyurethane Middle -tracking arm bushing with original type rubber right - tracking arm bushing set polyurethane

Re: Is this supposed to get stuck in there?
I KNEW IT! WHY in the world can't people get things right? I even asked them (while looking at their site) why the pictures they had up looked the same.... ughhhh! MAN I can't stand incompetence.... it's one thing to be ignorant but when they talk down their nose to someone, they ought to at least know what they are talking about!!!! (sorry for the vent) Thanks again guys... you all offset the delays I get by getting me back on track - it's mucho appreciated!

Re: Is this supposed to get stuck in there?
I called the company back and told them they sent me the wrong part - they are also aware that they have the wrong picture and part number on their site. They could not do anything to fix it nor could they get anyone to do an actual check of the parts to make sure I got the right ones sent this time.... Can I post the name of the site so noone else has the same problem I did? I am sticking to the vendors that support this site.... which I should have done in the first place... I know, I know....

There is a reveiw board for just the purpose of letting each other know about service from vendors. You can post your experience there (keep it in nice terms)whether good or bad. There will be write ups on good and bad experiences to help you choose vendors in the future.

Re: Is this supposed to get stuck in there?
Question from a dummy.. Is the tracking bar the panhard bar?? Not to steal the thread but how would I know when it is time to change those bushings? I may be a candidate...

Re: Is this supposed to get stuck in there?
I just installed new bushings last week. I got them from GMC Paul. Good quality and perfect fit.

Re: Is this supposed to get stuck in there?
I have my order in with GMCPauls now - should have done it in the first place... live and learn
sleepyboy - I believe you are correct - I have found several different names for things.... I've always used the terms Solver did in his post. I replaced mine because they were 34 years old and I'm doing a frame off.
