window felt

the upper window felt on my truck has several metal clips in the channel I am assuming to hold felt in? But the like tabs on them stick out on the outside of the window and look like s**t. Do I need these?

Re: window felt

I have no clips on the soft upper window felt. Mine didn't even need glue.
