towing and looking good

I have a 67 long bed I just found. It belonged to my grandfather. I have plans for it. I love the lowered look. I also don't want a useless truck...its a truck. So far. I have been lurking and not found a compromise other than the possibility of airbags....is there anyway to keep enough travel for near stock towing/weight capability (without compromising the frame) but get that lowered look?

Re: towing and looking good

Do a mild 1" front / 3" rear drop with coils. You could even do a 2" / 4" and not loose too much of your towing & hauling capacity.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Re: towing and looking good

Spindles in the front and blocks in the rear would give you the exact ride you have now, only lower
