It's hard to explain without a pic... i made some tubular struts that bolt to the firewall where the inner fenders stock mounting location is, they run forward to the core support and are flanged and bolted there also. (Life is easier with a CNC Plasma cutter... trust me!) There are mounting plates on the struts that the stock hinges bolt to, and the tubes also have mounts for the gas charged struts.
I will get some more pics ASAP. We should be seeing the truck again this month.

He bought two more trucks... a 66 sub and a 66 short fleet. I am going to his house to check em out tomorrow... I will take a camera, and get more pics of his panel while I am there.
