Seeking '86 silverado seat upholstry
Hey, anyone know a source for a factory seat cover? I ordered what was SUPPOSED to be correct from Classic Industries but it wasn't close. Instead of the texture, there was a pattern of black dots to simulate it and the color was way off. I assume LMC, etc.. are the same material because the price and pic in the catalogs are same. I want a REAL '86 silverado blue velour seat cover or at least bulk material. Anyone help?
Also, how do you guys get the cool little pictue on the left side below your names on the posts???

They are the same!
We just started carrying the Acme upholstery stuff as well.
As far as I am told, it is about as close to factory as you can get. What we are doing is this: Anyone can get a stock type but with the Acme stuff, they are setting us up to do "custom" ordering. Including custom colors (lemon yellow, purple, burgundy, etc) So, if you want black vinyl on brown velour, you got it! Anyway, Check around with some local upholsterers about a supplier that can get what you want in bulk! And if you want, I can send you some color sample pictures by e-mail.............

Custom1, Thanks for the response!
So are you saying I should be able to find a local shop that can get exact match in bulk and make new or repair mine?

don't see why you couldn't find a local......as long as they are knowledgeable and have good connections then why not!
You might have been sold the wrong thing in the first place as well. Later, Custom1

Would you believe I found one at the swap meet this weekend? It was custom made for a '72 truck but it's the correct color and material. At least it could be used for the material... I figured I could take a chance for $10
