Can't you use either a MAF or Speed Density setup no matter what year it is from?? Only need to change computer, wiring, & use MAP sensor instead of MAF...I believe anyways...

Any year of TPI setup can be converted to run as speed density. Each system has its advantages / disadvantages. There is no way I would even consider the idea of going back to a carburetor - it's starts perfectly when cold, idles great, has more power and even gets better fuel mileage.
