Silver/Gray paint in 72?
Was a silver/gray exterior paint color available in 72'?. I was talking to a guy today who said he believes his truck is original and told me it's silverish gray. I have not seen it yet. According to autocolorlibrary.com it may have been available in 67 and 69. Just curious

Re: Silver/Gray paint in 72?
No silvers in 72. The silver was dropped in 68 or 69. Although, a very faded medium olive green truck can look silver!!

Re: Silver/Gray paint in 72?
I remember a really nice silver '67 when I was a teen in the early 70's. '68 to '72 trucks didn't offer silver. Maybe it was a special ordered paint option.

Re: Silver/Gray paint in 72?
All of the responses to your question are true. Except, when I special ordered my 1972 Cheyenne Super, selecting all options, I requested that my truck be factory painted sivler. It is listed on my glove box door, inside, obtion list.
I still have the truck, wouldn't part with it for any reason. JW

Re: Silver/Gray paint in 72?
My '71 has factory looking silver/gray interior. The exterior was painted by the PO and I've no idea on it. I'll check the glove box.
