Where to get new rear U-bolts for coils?

Am I being silly to think I can just stroll into NAPA and get a new set? That's how I got the front ones. Anyone else have an angle on getting some new ones? I know I can get them from ECE, but I need them tomorrow or the next day!!!

AutoZone carries some, but not all. I had to go to the local spring shop to get a set for my son's. Maybe you'll get lucky? Call around to the local parts houses. Hope this helps?

If you have a local spring shop, you should be able to get them there. I just take a sample in for measure(usually in pcs after the smoke wrench), & they bend the u bolts from stock lenghts & supply the nuts & washers .

Any local spring shop can make them, ours are rolled threads not cut so you can remove them without a torch. We have stock length and longer for installing lowering blocks.

Well, I managed to get the nuts broke loose, and managed to get one pounded up as far as flush with the trailing arm, but no luck getting them to come out. They're really rusted in there. I think I'm going to have to cut them.

Therefore....I'm not in a hurry any more. Thanks a bunch. I'll probably check out all the places you guys mentioned this week.

I got a pair a couple months ago from LMC Truck. Ordered them on Monday, got them on Thursday. Had to "spread" one apart a little using a vise and sledge hammer.

I made mine. 3/4=16 threaded rod. This was back when nobody had longer ones for lowering blocks. Unless you wanted to settle for 1/2 or maybe 5/8. Lowering blocks weren't offered in nothing but 1 1/2, with the small holes. I made the 2" alum. blocks too. This was around 1982. They are still under there after this long. And yes, I have tested them... 573 dynoed, tunnel ram, stroked 386, small block HP. Muncie 4, Hayes gold series clutch and plate, sticky Mickeys and all. I used to be the master at changing carrier bearing rubbers. I know this is a big no-no nowadays. And I agree. Sorry for the long post. I like the sound of Ed's rolled thread u-bolts. If they are 3/4".
