Towing/Hauling payload - 2wd Blazer?

I want to bring both my Blazers that I have for sale to the local truck show and was wondering if I could pull the project on a flatbed trailer behind the driver?
The project has no motor or tranny so it shouldn't be too heavy but the trailer might take up that difference? I don't want to kill the suspension on the driver.
It will be about 40 miles each way and I have no issues with driving the Blazer that far by itself, just wondering if it might be too much of a load?
The Blazer is a 350/T350, not sure of the ratio but it was originally an overdrive truck so I guess a low 3.x or so.
