What did you get done?
I worked this weekend so didn't get anything truck related done. I managed to wash my daily drivers so they could get rained on, so I could wash them again.
I bought a 2005 Chevy truck this week. I have been working on getting it ready to be a work truck. What did you get done?

Re: What did you get done?
I worked all weekend, had a Vice-President of our company walk our store and give us a 7 out of 10 which we were stoked about. I did get a new battery replaced on the blazer. Maybe Tues. I can get the thing started but always seems to never fail something comes up.

Re: What did you get done?
I had been patiently waiting for this topic. Jeje. Well I bought an LT1 earlier this week. Now comes the fun part, trying to raise enough money to get some decent numbers out of it, install it in the truck, but not before getting it bored over a bit to clean up the block.

Re: What did you get done?
I had a pretty productive week, at least for me...
I fixed a problem with my shock extenders one night during the week, and the truck rides and handles much better. I also found a blown shock, but I'll have to wait until this week to swap it out under warranty. I helped a friend fix his fence Saturday morning. It was held up by metal posts that had been broken off at the ground by people from the bar next door backing into it. We straightened everything back up, and welded them back in place with my MIG welder. We only caught his yard on fire twice. I changed the oil on my wife's car that afternoon. I HATE changing the oil on that one, but do it myself because I don't trust oil change places. The car has to be on ramps to change the oil, and you can't really see the filter very well. The filter has to be replaced by feel, and it always drains oil on me, the axle, and the catalytic converter. What a mess. At least it is done. Late that afternoon I pulled the front wheel on my Honda Helix. I found out that a Harbor Freight transmission jack makes a good scooter jack as well. The tire has a sheetmetal screw in it, so my FIL is going to get the motorcycle shop to repair it while I am at work. I'll put it back on later this week. Sunday I did a brake job on my mother's car, replaced some bulbs for her, and touched up a bunch of chips in the paint on her Solara. I swear, she must spend all of her time tailgaiting gravel trucks. Lots of chips. I spent as much time going back and forth to the auto parts store as anything. The store sold me the wrong bulbs. I went back to get the right ones, and got some touch-up paint. When I got home, I found the bottle was empty. I spent almost ten minutes shaking the stupid bottle trying to get it to rattle, but it wouldn't because there was nothing in it. Maybe the bottle isn't the stupid one... That afternoon, in the heat of the day (I'm soooo smart ), I burned 20 years worth of carbonless check copies, pay stubs, and income tax paperwork. Standing around a fire for an hour or so in the sun, during the summer, is not one of the smarter things I have done. Slonaker |

Re: What did you get done?
Replaced the temp and fuel gauges in the Sub, and installed a new bumper bracket to complete the front bumper replacement I started a month ago...

Re: What did you get done?
Well, as I mentioned in the last thread, I got married on the 22nd, so Monday morning we hopped a plane for 7 days in Playa Del Carmen Mexico. We visited Playa Del Carmen, Cancun, Cozumel island, Tulum ancient mayan ruins, and a number of other crazy sights I'd never seen before. I also got my beginners diving certification and we got to Scuba dive 40 ft. to the Reef off of Cozumel (2nd largest reef in the world). I guess now you can really call me Scuba Steve. LOL
Anyhow, I'll try to get some pictures up when I get them uploaded, and of my brother's new truck. Thanks to him I will be going 4wd (I hope) with my next truck. He picked up an '06 Silverado, black on charcoal, fully loaded except for leather, with the duramax/allison combo. He bought it with 14 miles on it, and now with a whopping 500 miles or so on the odometer, it's already got a leveling lift kit up front, beefier Nitto's all around (total lift with tires is like 5" up front and 3" in back), front windows tinted to match the rest (look sinister with the black paint), totally debadged and de-trimmed (fender skirts and all), billet grill and billet bowtie insert. I'll be sure to get some pics of it up also, but it has definately convinced me that I want to go duramax on my next truck.

Re: What did you get done?
Got my Notches welded in and my KP components 6 link set up so I can see how much room I'll have for a fuel cell.
