What's the difference between 71 and 72 door?

I have a 72 GMC and am considering buying a used door, which a guy I know says is in real good shape. I am going to look at it tonight. But, he doesn't know what year it is from. If it is a 67-71 door will it fit my truck?

Re: What's the difference between 71 and 72 door?

It will fit but, has cosmetic differences. Door panel is plastic on a 72 and also has a screw under the vent window. Window crank and door release have a longer skank also, because of the thicker door panel.
