Bidding on 06 GMC on Wednesday (Feedback please)
I have convinced myself to put my 71 lwb body onto a newer 4x4 frame. I have found a 2006 GMC with 5.3 engine. The truck has been rolled. As long as the frame was in good shape, I don't see why this would not be possible. Here is a pic of the truck. The truck can be viewed here. http://www.mpi.mb.ca/salvage/SlvgItm...660&itemnm=172
I know this will involve shortening the frame, and a considerable amount of work. I thing the pay offs will be well worth it. I will be bidding on this Wednesday. If anyone has any last minute comments as to why or why not, please don't hesitate to reply. I am hoping to get this for under $2500. Thanks Jason |

Hope you get it.
I'm considering doing the same thing with a blazer body. Keep us posted. |

The truck went for $4700. I was prepared to pay $2300. Oh well. I will keep my eyes open for a 96+ GM 4x4. The search continues...
