Atlanta Alert -- 56 Chevy truck in pull-a-part.

Atlanta Alert --

Today I was pointed to a 56 chevy 3100 stepside in the pull-a-part in Atlanta. (thanks board member JJB!!). I saw a 56 stepside and took several interior parts off the truck (for a total bill of $11.48 -- Rear view mirror -- both air vents -- sun visor -- glovebox lock -- windshield wiper chrome -- radio delete plate and steering wheel center piece..)

There were however some good parts left for anybody wanting:
The stepside bed was in fair shape. The tailgate was badly bent and rusty. The front fenders are rusty and have some bondo. The doors are in bad shape. the seat frame was ok. (upholstry gone). The dash was together (speedo cluster looked good).

The best thing on the whole truck was the front grill. No bends or dents, just surface rust. the windshield was broken, but other glass ok.

Brian

Glad to see you could use some of the parts. I go by there about once a month to check the new arrivals. I have seen some very good trucks go through there. Of cource it always happens when I do not have any extra funds. They tend to crush them on a 90-120 day cycle. I have not been in R&R in a while. After getting use to Pull-A-Part's prices, it is hard to pay the extra money other yards want.

Was it a short bed or a long bed?

It was a shortbed. It might not be around very long, so if you want this, you better shoot fast.
