Breather hole in Edelbrock valve covers
I'm going to order Elite valve covers for my Vortec heads tonight. Summit has them listed as left OR right side breather hole. Which should I get left side hole or right sidehole . Both covers have a hole so what do I need?
This picture shows a left side hole. |

best way to have it would be with hole in both covers, one toawrds front on one cover and one towards rear on other cover to make a crank case gs recirculation path through the engine.
one hole for vacuum, IE thew pcv valve and other for fittered return, and most all aftermarket covers have no oil filler hole/cap so theres another thing to think on. hope i helped, good luck |

mines got a breather hole in both sides. one hooks to the breather for now until I finally quit pinching pennies and buy a crankcase breather for it. the other one hooks to the pcv valve. not sure exactly but arent they supposed to have a hole on both sides on these? if not ummmm theyre both the same you can always swap sides
