My 70 C-10

Well, I bought this truck when I was 16 from a friend of mine-who was a lot older. My Father and I had goals for this thing...lower it, paint it, new wood bed, etc....well, only some of that happened. I tried painting it- came out not too good, built my first engine in this thing, which still runs great 7 years later, etc.

It sat for about 4 years whilw I was away at school. I had my Dad drive it across state last year to me so I could start working on it again. Only things I have done is throw in 2 inch block in the rear, and recently, stripped it down and threw it in some black primer- so I can finish bodywork and finally get it painted. My best friend has a shop now with a really nice paint booth, so now I have a place to do some painting.

Specs: 70 C-10, rebuilt 350 with upgraded parts(roller rockers, cam, etc), lowered with 3 inch coils front, cut 1/2 coil, 4 inch in rear with 2 inch blocks, reupholstered seat, and thats about it. Purchased some rallye wheels from Billsbowtie, so those should be here next week for a better stance. Thats about it for now, I just need some motivation to finish this up, so this site helps a lot! Thanks!

Darin, you have to upload your photos in the attachments, not directly to the message header.

Re: My 70 C-10

Thanks for that guys!

It looks much better now than it did last weel- 5 diff colors(from trying to correct a horrible paint job)...I might leave in the black finish for now, but eventually go back to the original dark olive green.

Re: My 70 C-10

I don't know man.....I think it looks good with the hubcaps and whitewalls! That look is very popular and low maintenance, no worries about bugs and fingerprints with flat paint. When I had rallies on mine I thought about running hubcaps on em for a little wider stock look.

Re: My 70 C-10

I really dig the hubcaps..but the rims aren't wide enough and the offset sucks. Also, someone jacked on of my hubcaps!!! Things are mint too!! Oh well
