There seems to be lots of them around. They don't work if your slammed or lifted from stock. Be sure to get the contact plate that bolts to the top od the axle and LMC has the rubber bumpers for them, those are a must. The springs are mounted on L brackets so get those too.

I put a set on a C-10 truck that I use occasionally to tow a car trailer with. They were a huge improvement. I need to add a set to my burb too if they fit with the hidden hitch I have. They don't hurt ride quality like heavier springs would. If you have a set around, there is no reason not to put them on. They are good for another 500#'s each.

You guys know anyone that has a set for sale? I'm gonna check with a couple guys around here to see if I can dig some up. Were these installed from the factory at all or are they strictly an aftermarket thing?

I know where quite a few sets are in junkyards. Theyre not an uncommon factory option and they are a factory option listed on the option sheet in the glovebox.

There are tons out there, almost any junkyard with a 67-72 in it would have some prolly. Damn things weigh a ton though.

Wouldn't some air shocks work as well as the auxilary springs? Maybe not quite as much capacity, but can use on a lowered truck.

YO Desert Rat, do you still have the the overload springs for a leaf spring truck that we talked about last week as I still need them and am waiting for a shipping price. Again, I have a leaf spring truck that needs boosters or overloads to stiffen the tail end. Tks-----Huck
