Tach is universal -- negative wire of the coil, unless you don't have a coil.
Coolant Temp is a challenge (unless you have an idiot light), the standard sensor will be different resistances. You can get the hole tapped for the old style sensor, or build an adapter array. Brian |

Gauges shouldn't be a problem, my autometers worked with my Carb and EFI engines, but i just swapped an intake onto my exisiting engine.
I don't know for sure what EFI system they used on it, some sort of MPFI... Having said that, i did a quick search and... http://www.thepartsbin.com/sitemap/b...ess~parts.html http://performance.drivewire.com/fue...ectionkit.html This harness is available at summit for 609 instead of $895 so thats a good thing ! $609 bucks for a harness though...ouch, if you have the entire engine harness from the car you could "thin" it out to meet your needs. If you think it will take you less than $6094 in time and frustration. To compare, the much more common TPI swap harness is $321. So its an Lt1, Lt4, something like that, MPFI sequential fire, roller block, should be a nice setup !! Much nicer than my TPI and i love it. My harness was from painless and it was easy to install, i'm also an automotive apprentice at a Toyota dealer so i work with computers and wiring all day, so depending on how comfortable you are with wiring, it could take an weekend or 6 months to get the engine to fire up, once the mechanical duties are fulfilled. You are probably looking at custom engine mounts, upgrading the transmission, the LT1 is meant to work with a 4l60E. Running new fuel lines, finding a high pressure fuel pump, either put it in the tank or run an external one. Run electric fans, the ecm will control them. Get a custom chip burnt for your application. Decide if you want to save emissions stuff. There is a lot to do, but its worth it, EFI is leaps and bounds ahead of carb technology, and its been trouble free for a year and once you install it YOU CAN FIX IT ! Talk to "LT1burb" i think is his name...he might be over at chevy talk only.
