Head on collision between a 2wd and 4wd

We wanted to see what would happen, so we drove a 72 4wd and a 70 2wd torward each other at 75mph. See attached pics. It's getting close to finished, we only have about 2 weeks before he takes it off to college.

Nice collection of toys. I'm partial to the GMC's too. Can't believe someone here had the nerve to say the GMC grill looked like a Dodge grill. He shoulda been banned for saying that.

The first pic is the before, the other pics are the almost complete mating. We bought the 2wd for the fresh motor and the front clip and cab. The bed came from a 69 donor.

Re: Head on collision between a 2wd and 4wd

Thanks for all the kind words. We're real pleased with how it's turned out. If I could just scrouge up a couple thousand more dollars for wheels, exhaust, AC, and a few other finishing touches.........

67ChevyRedneck- the far off Mts in the 1st pic are about 35-40 miles, the close Mt in the last pic is maybe 8-10 miles to the top as the crow flies.

cstanley- yeah, I thought about the title after I posted the thread. I hope nobody gets offended, cause we all know people who have been seriously hurt or killed in crashes and it's nothing to joke about.

Had to shrink the pics way down to post, but I have lots of other larger pics.

Sounds like the rear end is going out on it now. Should find out more tomorrow. We're running out of time before he leaves for college.
