I know that originally they went on without gaskets. This motor is new (couple months old and the Summit Headers are new, I need gasket suggestions. When I used the old manifolds I used MR gasket but was just wondering if any of you guys had suggestions.... Thanks

Second the fel-pro. I have also had good luck with the premium Mr. Gasket header gaskets.

I normally use copper or aluminum collector gaskets and stainless bolts with never-seez on the collectors.

I've had great success with Percy's Dead Soft Aluminum flange and collector gaskets. They're a little pricey, but they're reuseable and the seal my old warped hooker longtubes when nothing else would!

I use FEL-PRO exclusively, and I coat them with a "Copper Coat" gasket sealer. This seems to give me the best service in longevity. I have some header gaskets that have been installed for several years. Every one of my (four) vehicles has headers on them. I also put the header bolts in with "Teflon Tape" wrapped around them. This practice came from an article in a engine build book. The bolts stay where you set them and they do NOT back out or come loose during normal use. Taking the bolts out later is real easy, too.
