Question is this a good price?

saw a 71 LWB for sale with a really nice stance and a decent body...... the paint job looked sharp as well....the engine is a 350 and is only a year old and the tranny is a freshly rebuilt TH350 3 months ago.....it has no rust or bad dings....he wants 4000 for it.....but I'm not sure if that's high or low.....it's rust free....to me that's worth it alone.....it's in Cali and if anyone is interested.....I'll try to get picks if anyone wants more info....truck is in Bakersfield.

i,m over by south high. I have seen you post before and I thought it may be someone I told about the board, guess not. There are so many of these trucks here in town I know that the guys from the rust belt would love to have some of these great bodies and parts that we have here. I did not go out and search but just counted the trucks I saw in one day and I saw 37 all running but some gardning trucks. My truck needs a motor right now I just put th350 trans in it and a new shell on it but am now considering parting it just because I can get more for the parts and buy a running truck with air in it. I have seen people start with junk and work to get it to be as good as mine cutting out rust and putting in pannels. Mine has the origanal paint in the bed as it most always had a camper on it, I bought it from the origanal owner who painted the outside with a spray bomb. as far as parts for adam12 go there are two trucks in pik-a-part and one in the yard where the pik-a-part was. There has been an ad in the californian selling parts. If you still don't get it e-mail me at ibjoker69@yahoo.com as there is another guy my brother knows who has about 12 trucks some are for parts. Or the best deal in town is to buy mine for 1200 and get a rebuilt th350 with shift kit I just put in 200 miles ago I did it my self and the parts alone cost $500 all new parts clutches ect. new carrier berring and u-joints. It will even scrach going into second with the 250 motor rod knock and all. May be why I got the rod knock. I would like to put a motor SB in it but it would cost me 1300 for a new block from GMC, and I still would not have air conditioning. So Ill find a new truck like the one you are talking about and get rid of mine. If you see a primer black model A roadster with white pinstripe flames passing everthing in site it will be me, as the truck has a rod knock and is parked. You may see both in camera ads soon. Any way feel free to contact me at ibjoker69@yahoo.com or ibcoachhill@yahoo.com joker69 jeff
