blazer vs truck lift kits
do the blazer and the Truck (both 4x4) use the same lift kit springs?
I sold a guy the 4" lift out of my 72 blazer and he says it wont fit his 68 4x4. Can this be?

Well on the Skyjacker website the part #'s are exactly the same except
for a couple of letters at the end of it, so it's possible they would not, I really don't know the answer to this one, but here's your free am bump.

Re: blazer vs truck lift kits
I am pretty sure 67-68 had a different size for the rear springs. I know 69-72 trucks / blazers are exactly the same.

Re: blazer vs truck lift kits
The rears are not a problem, he could use his old rears with the blocks. It's the fronts we cant tell about. I just got off the phone with him and told him to measure from the mount to the shackle on the front and that should answer the question when i measure the blazer.

Re: blazer vs truck lift kits
Hmmmm, I remember 2 spring lengths, 52" and 56" this could be the issue,
but I don't know where the size change interacts with the model years

Re: blazer vs truck lift kits
52" and 56" are the rear spring sizes. I believe some '73 up had the 56" rear springs. I agree with 2wdblazer in that I think 67-68 are different than '69 up. But don't know if it's just the fronts, or just the rears etc. Just my .02

Re: blazer vs truck lift kits
Well i know my front springs measure 44" and my rears are 52", the guy never called back so i think he figured out that the fronts will fit. They were the important ones anyway cause i just sold him the blocks for the rear.
