Fuel tank

We built and got a small car ready for a small car figure 8 race this summer. Was required to move the fuel tank inside the car. As I looked at the tank I thought this would probably fit under a C-10 . Not finished with the car yet but when we are done raceing it . Will find out if it does fit . The filler neck is located in the top corner of the tank . Surely I won't get beat up to bad for mentioning what the tank is out of , But here it is, DORF escort. Has any one tried this tank( 1986)?
