Speed vs RPM and gears
Ok, my wife's '68 SWB shows 2500 RPM while running 55ish with a TH350. Does this sound like 3:08 gears? I jacked up the truck and did the tire/driveshaft thing. This is the closest I could come up with. I'm trying to make the speedo read right.

Re: Speed vs RPM and gears
55mph at 2500rpm sounds a bit slow for 3.08 gears IMHO, my 4.56's turn that, but I have 31" tires.

Re: Speed vs RPM and gears
28 inch tall tires with a 3.07 gear and a non lock up Th350 spins about 2500 at 65 IIRC.
