auto trans linkage question

hey guy's,
i'm installing a 700r4 in my truck in a week or less and i was hoping to get a little questions out of the way.

i currently have the stock auto linkage but i feel i'm missing something. does the auto linkage only have one bar from the column to the spring loaded shift lever? or is there a second shaft? also i'm concidering an aftermarket shift linkage since they are more adjustable. is there any merit to this thinking?

thanks,
ondrew

Re: auto trans linkage question

i used a lokar setup. one of the shafts was too short so i had to supply my own. works way better than the factory setup.
