Round peg in a square hole?

Was wondering how you guys are modifying your pre 72 doors to accept 72 panels. The top holes drill out just fine as they are just off location of pre72 door panels. but the bottom are giving me some troubles. The bottom holes on pre72 doors have a capture nut inserted into a square hole. Can't really drill out hole in center of capture nut cause it will get into capture part of nut and if I remove capture nut entirely then the hole is to big for door panel push stud to grab any edges. Just curious if someone has come across an easy fix for this. I really want to run the 72 panels.Whats your ideas?

You might try finding a smaller version of the 72 clip at an automotive paint store. I did this about 10 years ago, but can't remember how I did it.

i just drilled out the old holes and drilled new holes in the spots they didnt line up. luckily there is alot of adjustment where the plastic piece goes in the door panel to allow you to put the holes where you need them
