new to board---PICS----
 i just purcahsed my 2nd chevy pickup my 1st was a '70 c/10 fleetside long bed my newest purchase is my '72 k/10 lwb i will post pic's later on today but i bought it from a farm in kansas with 12,014 miles on the odo. it has small rust areas(that i have found so far) but i belive it is fairly original it has black writing on the firewall under the hood, AM radio, 10 bolt front axle and 12 bolt rear and it has the 350ci, 4bbl, i have no clue how the 4wd works(if someone coukd tell me thanks) can someone please tell me a little info about the truck i don't a lot about this truck and i want to do a resto/lift on it i love the body style na di have read a lot of post and am amazed at the info on this site what are some things i need to do right away and what do i need to watch out for? p.s.-post what ya'll want pic's of on the truck other than engine bay, interior and exterior thanks

the 4wd works by locking the hubs manually. there are dials on the front wheels that you have to turn to lock and then just shift it into 4wd

A picture of the Replacement Parts Data Plate on the inside of the glove box door would be helpful.
