Source for stock type oil line to gauge?
I'm hunting for a stock type oil line from the engine to the oil pressure gauge but haven't found one. When I got it the truck had a mechanical gauge from somewhere, but the fittings are different.
The stock line appears to have the threaded fitting and the ferrule as one peice and it doesn't appear to come apart. apparently it was crimped soemhow when the line was made. I have the line from the scrap yard, and the gauge end, but both were cut when the gauge cluster were removed. While having engine oil plumbed to the inside of the cab may not be ideal, that was normal and I thought it would be fairly simple to get a ferrule and redo the line, but not much luck yet. If I have to, I'll reconnect the aftermarket gauge for now. Suggestions? Thanks! Last edited by 72lb4x4; 09-04-2006 at 11:23 PM. |

the ferrul can be had at any decent auto parts store.it will be with the rest of there fittings. or you can buy an oil line kit from automete or any other gauge company in copper and it will come with some fittings

Stock Oem Oil Pressure Lines Were Made Of 1/16" Steel. I Believe No-one Reproduces Them. You See Them On The Parts Board All The Time (well Sometimes) For $15-$20. You Can Get The Aftermarket Copper Lines For About $12 Thru Summit, Jegs, Local Auto Parts Stores Or Any Of The Fine Vendors That We Have Here. John
