Parts Chasin'
Well, I am going to look at some parts this afternoon about 35 miles from me. I don't know what all he has but he is supposed to have a pretty nice dissasembled short fleet box, and a bunch of other stuff. I'm hopin' he has a nice core support and inner panels for the '70 also but I'm not going to hold my breath. Seems like most of the parts tips I get don't pan out. It's either rusty bent up stuff or they want ten prices for it. Wish me luck?????

Re: Parts Chasin'
I bought the parts I looked at today. I don't have many pics yet but I'll post what I have and take more tomorrow as I unload it. I have one more trip to make to get it all home. Mainly I was looking for a short fleetside bed, Core support, grille, & inner panels. Only problem was I had to take it all or nothing...... So I took it all. I think there is enough parts to build a complete truck - plus.

Re: Parts Chasin'
Yes, I think this one worked. The bed, although dissasembled is in pretty darn nice shape. The grille and core support are excellent (even the trim rings & headlight rings are nice). I have to go and get two more doors, two hoods, two nice radiators, Three nice inner panels, a complete power steering setup, two titles, & the frame and cab today or tomorrow.
Here are pictures of some of the parts as I unloaded them this morning. I will attach them in two separate posts. LockDoc |

Next set of pics. I'm trying to keep them small so they load quicker.

Re: Parts Chasin'
Okay so now I know where to go for parts! If you find body parts here you are looking at rust being an intergral part of the pannel!

Re: Parts Chasin'
Well I finally got the rest of the parts home and put away. Now I need to get the chassis so I can roll it around and set the cab on it. Last of the pictures for this adventure.

Re: Parts Chasin'
---------------------------
I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet. I put a complete '77 Chevy pickup front crossmember under the frame this afternoon and an old rear axle so I can set the chopped cab on it tomorrow. I have an old windshield that I'm going to try and cut down for it and the back glass is already cut. The guy did a decent job on the chop but I'm not a big fan of layed back windshield posts. Yes it is a '57 retractable. You can see a better picture here: http://showcase.netins.net/web/1rowe.../carphoto.html Personal web page, no pop up's, no ads. Lots of pictures so will take a while to load if you have dial up. The only ones I still have at this time are the '57 Ford, the '36 Ford, the '39 Ford, the '57 Chevy, & the '67 Chevy PU. I'm workin on a '70 Chevy pickup right now. LockDoc |

madiron, No tailgates. I still need another good one myself. There is a complete SB fleetside there and that is the main reason I bought all of this stuff, that and a bunch of other stuff that I need for my '70. LockDoc |
