A/C question

I know this is not a 67-72 chevy truck question but here goes...I am in the process of changing the AC compressor on my wifes chevy van. (1997 with R134A from the factory) I will be flushing all the old contaminates, new dryer, orifice and adding new oil.

What is the best way to add the new oil to the system? Thanks...

Re: A/C question

I usually use the "pour" in kind as opposed to the refridgerant/oil. Pour the recomended amount into the suction side of the compressor if it all wont fit put the rest into the filter dryer.

Re: A/C question

remember to find out if or how much oil is in the new drier plus how much is in the compressor. Minus those from the total required then pour in the oil needed
