Squeaky brakes, need advice
My front disc brakes started squeaking this morning when I would let off the brake and make right turns. Now, they're squeaking all the time when not applied. It's gotten progressively fast this morning. What would make them squeak when not even being applied? I'm going to try and fix them this weekend, but would like everyone's advice on what I should look for.

Time for a brake service. By what you have described, the pad warning/indicator tabs are touching the rotor. When the pad is worn down far enough, these tabs come into contact with the rotor and squeal to let you know its time. They'll make noise in any number of combinations.. On brake, off brake, turning, going straight.

Thanks
Thanks for the replies. By time I got them, I had already replaced the pads. That fixed it. I just thought it was weird to get the noise when the brakes weren't applied.
Thanks again, Scott
