Drop Spindles. Where to buy?
Hello all! I am very close to starting the truck. I am getting some things ordered so when i can start i have all the parts. Anyways i am in need of some drop spindals and front and rear disc brakes. Where is the best price to buy them? I would like to go with some big brakes if i can afford them. Who would you go with? I am not going to be racing everywhere but i will tow my boat and would like to stop when i need too. Also do they make different drop spindals? I plan on getting this truck to sit on the ground. I am most likely going with porterbuilt for all my 4 link and air ride parts. Anyways thanks for your help ahead of time!!!

Re: Drop Spindles. Where to buy?
i bought my spindles from mcgaughy's (?) & got my springs -front & rear from brothers trucks. i think the best places would be the ones i mentioned & early classic ent. i believe these places will give the best product for ease of installation & least complication.
good luck! rodstored-72 |

Re: Drop Spindles. Where to buy?
ECE is where I'm getting mine. Pricey, but it's the full kit, everything you need, and supposed to be the best fit out there..
I've heard some not-so-great things about McGaughys or whatever. People talking about having to take a grinder to them to make em fit in some of the 67-72 trucks.

shifty- can you elaborate on the grinding thing?. I just bought that kit and didn't know that. I'm planning to install next month.

Re: Drop Spindles. Where to buy?
I would rather have rear drums for towing then a thin rotor, just my .02. Early Classic gets my vote for spindles.

Re: Drop Spindles. Where to buy?
If your going with the Porterbuilt "Dropmember" then I would recommend DJM 3" spindles. They have a well built 3" spindle for the 73-87 style crossmember that Nathan builds that's hard to be for quality and price.
