Kind of irrelevant, but two friends of mine are restoring collector cars. A 1965 Ford Mustang and a 1980 Merecedes Benz 300SD

I was flipping through repro books. Oh my God their parts are crazy priced!

Everything Ford had to offer was atleast 50% MORE than what you would expect from LMC. I was sweatin' over that... then I looked at Mercedes parts.

$200 for ONE window motor.

$30 for A switch. A window motor SWITCH. They're not rare, in fact there are more of these parts in the junkyard then there are for my truck.

Is there truely NO downside to owning GM? Or are these trucks specifically inexpensive compared to everyone else?
