queston
Is it recommended to rent a self storage unit to do body work in if you dont have a garage?? Has anyone done this be4?

I have heard of people doing this. A lot of the storage units don't have any electrical outlets in them and some have clauses in the contract that prohibit working on stuff. There are a couple in my area where people are actually running businesses out of a larger unit. (painting contractor for one) You would just need to check. LockDoc

a place here in town actually has some set up as a shop but i believe they are 2-300 a month

None of them around here would ever let you do anything like that. There's a huge liability when it comes to fire, and no body wants bondo dust all over there junk. (I've never seen storage units blocked off from each other completely) I know I would be HIGHLY irate if i went to my unit right now and there was body dust on my furnitre. Also, since 9-11 many areas have made rules/zoning/laws against chemicals like those used in painting to be stored/used in a place like that.
You can look into it, but don't get your hopes up. |
