Factory A/C / Defrost
just wondering, will the defrost function work properly on a factory a/c truck if the a/c isn't working, i've noticed on my new truck as well as my 72 with vintage air that the compressor kicks in when I put the heater in defrost mode.

Will it work properly?, Yes. Will it work well?, No. I don't know when GM started using the A\C function to dry the air on defrost mode but it was after our trucks were made. I have thought about modifying mine to work that way but I haven't got that far yet.
