So did you need the plug that is mentioned in the Scoggin-Dickey information?

I referred to HuggerCST's comment about the plugs being forgotten by the machine shop. The pic is of the three 1/4" NPT plugs that the machine shop forgot to replace after they completed the block work. I asked them to assemble the short block and stick the cam. Thats why I didn't see these missing when I put it together. I had no idea these plugs had that kind of effect.
