Need rear quarters for 53 GMC Panel
I have been unable to locate rear quarters for my panel. Does anyone know of a source for these?
Thanks. |

Re: Need rear quarters for 53 GMC Panel
Nice project!!
I have started the same unit except Chev. I found someone good at making panals for my panel. He has replaced several bad rust areas on the body. Both lower areas behind front doors had to be replaced. Its quite amazing how he takes a flat piece of sheet metal and shapes it to fit. Your project looks much the same as mine did a few months ago. I will be getting the body back soon. I had the frame blasted & painted. I have the frame in the garage, I am doing the brakes, bearings ect. The motor is in for overhaul. I want to leave panel original. I have a 1947 Chev 1/2 ton truck that is a recent frame off restoration and look forword to parking them together. Should look "sweet". As far as finding rear quarters good luck. I do know that www.billstruckshop.com has some body parts.I am still looking for steel back bucket seat for mine and have not had much luck yet. Look forward to seeing more pics on this project. I will do the same when I get scanner back from repair shop. |

You could try contacting the board vendors or posting a classified ad, I'm not sure about the older rides.

Try Metalman. http://www.oldgmctrucks.com/page0217.html He can make what you need, and has made them for others.
