Re: progress pics
I call it project "Stock Room" because it's basically stock components and I want it out of the garage to make room!
We bought a short step 67 around 2001 and drove it for a few summers as is. About all thats left of that truck on the project pictured here will be the hood, 2 doors, some wiring, steering column, and VIN plate. CPNE JR (now 15) has done most of the work himself using basic tools and acquiring skills by just "doing it". Paint, bodywork, and glass installation as well. Parts have come from far and wide, through my dealings and parts trucks I've had. I would estimate about 50 trucks have donated something to this project. It's a 72 GMC leaf spring frame with disk brakes, 350 of unknown origin (with HEI ), 72 3 speed manual tranny (coolumn shift), cab and bed from AZ, seats from a 67 GMC, etc. it's true to the 67 small window theme, with all the unique 67-only interior components and CST upgrades. The interior will be parchment when the seats get new covers. Anyway, it's not super sexy or wildly exotic, its a kid built, kid-financed, father/son garage project. That, to me, makes it priceless.

Re: progress pics
For comparison purposes, here is what rolled into the garage 2 years ago. Suspension and engine was done at that point in time

Looks pretty good. I wish I could have an eigth of the skills you do. Your lucky, I'm not even allowed to work on my truck hardly, my dad "doesn't want the shop a mess, he has stuff to do".

Re: progress pics
Dang that's awesome CPNEJR. You should be really proud that you and your Dad have built a truck that every person on her would love to own.
I see one thing I do not like though. Get those extra keys off that key ring before you scratch that pretty dash....
