Question suspension conversion

is it possible to use the front suspension from a 86 3/4 ton on a 68 1/2 ton? i know i can use the rearend with a conversion kithas anyone ever done this before?

Yes, you should be able to bolt the complete crossmember from the 86 under the 68. There will be a couple bolt holes that need to be "egged out" . Good luck.....crazy longhorn

To swap the spindles, you need to replace the lower a arm (diff hole size on the balljoint), all 4 balljoints, tie rods, & center link. 71 up the centerlink & tie rods are different as far as lenghts on ends & sleeves, & hole sizes in the center link. i swapped my longhorn to a 1/2 ton using mid 70s parts, but alot of the guys are just swapping the complete assy to save on the parts mix.
