Where is a good place to find original oem hood hinges and springs at a good price? Both sets I have are not really standing up to my new hood...Thanks!

Re: hood hinges question

Have you checked the dealer? I think I paid around $30 each for the last ones I bought.

Re: hood hinges question

GMpartsdirect.com has them for just under $22 each. Go there, enter the part numbers, and you are all set.

I just ordered new outside door handles for Yeller, it was much cheaper than what two different GM dealers quoted me.

Re: hood hinges question

Correct me if I am wrong, but after some google research I found that the part # listed above is for 81-87 hinges whcih is different than what Aspecialz needs for his 74. From looking around #6262008 is the part number for 73-80 hinges.

Those would be $42.48 from the same site above. Good catch.

Re: hood hinges question

That sounds about right. I work at a dealership, and I was pretty sure my cost was around $30, a couple of years ago.

Hood Hinges LH 6262007 & RH 6262008
I just bought these but they didn't come with springs. Just the hinges.
