I got the braided lines from Classic Tube Inc. www.classictube.com.
I bought them several years ago I think they where about $60.00 to $65.00. I would think they may have gone up a few bucks. |

I got the rivets from the Big Fats Rivet Co. www.bigflatsrivet.com. The rivets that hold the major brackets, spring mounts, shock mounts, to the frame are 7/16" dia. When you buy them they are 7/16" round head X 3" rivets. The catalog they send you gives instructions on installation. It's also on their web site. I purchased the rivet tool (3/8" round head tool, they don't make a 7/16" tool but it seemed to work just fine), that goes into an air-chisel tool. Installation requires you to cut the rivet to the proper length for the parts you are attaching together. You heat up the rivet to cherry red, install it, hold it on the back with what they call a bucking bar, I used a four pound sledge hammer and then form the head using the air tool with the forming tool. I had to reheat the rivets several times to form the head, but as you can see you get good results. It was hard for anyone to pick out the original factory rivet from the ones I installed. I was happy with the results. Working with the folks from Big Flats was excellent. They were very happy to answer any questions. The only thing is that they travel a lot and sometimes it hard to get a hold of them, minor inconvience considering how well they treat you. Their prices are Ithought very resonable.
