Re: best place to get coils

What look are you going for exactly, if you are just wanting stock you should be able to get everything at your local NAPA or other auto parts store. If you are wanting it lowered check out some of the board vendors.

Just to save you some money here...

Are your current springs:
Rusted and pitted
Broken anywhere
Noticeably fatigued
Modified (by cutting or low buck dropping)
Otherwise damaged

If none of those apply, there is honestly no reason to replace them. Springs in general have very good fatigue life and will continue to function almost as good as fresh off the assembly line for well beyond what anyone would consider their useful life (I am talking in the hundreds of thousands of miles here). Replacing a solid spring with a new one will have absolutely no affect on your ride quality. Give them a good painting and you will never know the difference.

If any of those conditions do apply, then definately replace your springs.

Otherwise, replace your shocks and your ride quality will be as good as it ever was. And oh what a difference the shocks will make.

Re: best place to get coils

Here is some info that I had written down, might help you out:
Front Springs, MOOG, MOG-6082, Standard Duty 1/2Ton
Rear Springs, TRW, TRW-CC603, Coil springs, rear, variable rate, Hef-T-Coil, TRW.

and yes, HD or heavy duty springs will ride rough
