the hood

I saw this truck on car domain and i thought it was an intresting idea for hood hinges what do you guys think just add some springs to hold it open or to pop it open so it wont hi the grill. what do you guys think anmd has any one seen this truck finished?

there are people on here that have setups similiar to that one. they used '80's buick lesabre hood hinges.

it wouldnt take as much to modify them as it would to completely make your own stuff.

thats about as simple as it gets, its just a H made from pipe and a pivot point on the rad and at just the right point under the hood. i cant see any thing stoping the hood from over pivoting or falling right back onto the grill or motor. if you select a pic it will show you a closer look at it. his truck is very nice and the particular way he did that is pretty booty fab. i hope he does something better.

Is there a kit you can buy to get the hood to open backwards? Not a universal kit one made for 67-72 trucks.
