rear axle help
71 3/4 ton with the eaton rearend.
will a 14 bolt ff bolt in with no mods. if so what do i need to get it from.

I`d like to know,too.I`m not sure if the spread on the spring pads is the same or if the driveshaft length and u-joints are the same.As far as what it`s out of,they`re all the same`73-up.But,the 4wds are narrower between the springs and`88-ups have a wider spread there on both 2wd and 4wd.

You'll have to relocate the spring perches and you may have to engineer some e-brake stuff. Drive shaft should be fine.

The 14 bolt ff from a 1 ton will have the correct spring perch placement for a 67-72 4wd. The driveshaft will require a conversion u-joint. I can't help on the driveshaft lenght issue. The hard brake line terminates in a different location so you will have to modify that some. Shock tabs may have to be relocated.
