68 front clip (Grill)

I am replacing the entire front clip, core support etc. on my 69 K20 with one from a 68 ( going for the early look) with the eyebrow trim, gingerbread. I am curious if the fender tip is the same for the non trim as the trim model ( cept holes of course!)?? I plan to fill delete all of the trim and hope that the holes are all that will need welding.
Thank you.

You've got it right. Just need to fill the trim holes.

Thanks, that sounds easy enough. I plan on keeping the letters on the hood and the chrome around the oval openings ( I think!) I keep changing my mind as I see different trucks.

Re: 68 front clip (Grill)

You'll need something for the grille inserts if you don't keep it chrome (aluminum.) It looks real lousy without some kind of filler in there. Some low end trucks did have steel painted fillers that you could use. Give me the chrome if it's nice!
