Removing Door Panels
I'm having trouble rolling up my windows so I want to take a look at them. I already took off the arm rest and screws at the bottom of the panel. How do I take off the inside door handel and window handel? After I remove those does the panel just pop off? Thanks.

Re: Removing Door Panels
There is an inexpensive tool which slides behind the handles and removes the clips. Then you should be all set.

Re: Removing Door Panels
There is a little spring clip on the handles, they make a tool to remove them, or I have just used a small flat blade screwdriver to pop the clips loose. then the panel should come right off.

Re: Removing Door Panels
I have one of these http://bradystools.stores.yahoo.net/dohaandwilir.html , works better than a screwdriver, and less chance of losing the little spring clip.

Re: Removing Door Panels
Installing the clip is simple just put it on the handle, then push the handle over the shaft, it pops right on

Re: Removing Door Panels
I didn't use this method the first time I tried to put the handles back on and it was a complete PITA!! After I found out the easy way the 2nd time it was a snap. Just pop them on the handles and then pop the handle on the shaft and they lock in place.

Re: Removing Door Panels
theres a little trick for those clips to get them off without damaging the panel , wish works on newer opelmodels (also gm) use a towel hold both ends so the towel is hanging get it behind the windowcrank and pull back and forth while holding it against the axle of the windowcrank and pulling it slightly off the panel .
if done corectly the clip wil hook on the cloth and pull away from the crank and you pull the crank off in one go , might need to try it a bit and there is a chance the clip will fly away and you need to get on hands and knees to find it back
