Tire Load Ratings
I have to buy new tires for the 72 C/10 and the local Base Exchange has Coopers on sale. Otherwise I have to mail order from the US and spend around $75 to ship.
I am looking at the Cooper Discoverer H/T in a 235/75-15 and the specs are as follows: Discoverer H/T 235/75R15 109T 520 A B XL, 29" height, 2271lbs load, 13 tread depth, and costs $90.06 Discoverer H/T P235/75R15 105S 520 A B, 28.85" height, 2028lbs load, 13.5 tread depth, and costs $80.92 Discoverer H/T LT235/75R15 104/101 Q C 28.83" height, 1985lbs load, 16 tread depth, and costs 94.61 I really don't haul or tow and can't decide if I should go with the deeper tread LT tire, or the passenger though the load is lighter. May ride better with the passenger tire. Or, go for the heavy 109T tire. Also, why would the LT tire carrying a lesser load with a C or 6 ply rating cost more than the 109t tire which carries almost 300lbs more? Tread depth? Opinions? you want an tire 235/75r15xl which is extra load or an lt235/75r15 i wouldn't put a reaguar passer rated tire on any truck unless it is extra load
